Through many songs and many bands, Somehow Hollow has finally settled in and is ready to rock the masses. They started in the summer of 2000, with a line-up of three, Mike Casarin, Kent Abbott, and Drew Clark, in the lovely Shakespearean City of Stratford, Ontario. A fourth member Brad Casarin was added later in the year. Although touring heavily with his at the time main band Grade and looking after his dog, Brad managed to find time to write and record the group’s first album. The self-titled debut was released in May 2001 on the Toronto based label, East End Industries. Through the many years of playing in houses, garages, and small punk clubs, their melodic punk sound was refined in this early recording.

Brad was still playing with the hardcore band Grade at this time and left the band many times struggling as a three-piece. It also came to a surprise when Kent left to join Grade after there other guitarist quit, leaving Mike and Drew to wonder if he would ever return. Strangely enough as the various members over time slowly departed, Mike and Drew were also invited to play with Grade. Somehow Hollow was put on hold for nearly a year, but practising between tours or whenever they could, kept the band breathing above water. When Grade broke up in July of 2002, it left them with a new sense of creation for Somehow Hollow. With a slew of songs already written, the group all decided to start belting it out again, this time all purely for the love of the music. The new material soon caught the attention and led to the signing with Chicago based label Victory Records in September 2002.

Now awaiting the release of Somehow Hollows’ second full-length album, which is scheduled for Spring 2003, the Burlington, Ontario based group of melodic rock n roll renegades is poised and ready to bring forth their vision of friendship and unity through music to the masses
